Good News
Just a short post here to share some good news I received the other day.
Earlier in the year I wrote about the fantastic kids’ summer camps operated by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation program which allows private scholarship donations to help underprivileged children attend. I encouraged readers to contribute and sponsor a young camper…and did so myself in order to “put my money where my mouth is.” It didn’t take long before I found a scholarship request that appealed to me…
The good news is that I got this email a few days ago:
So Camper #19164 got to go to camp. She got to be outside and fish, and swim, and shoot a rifle and a bow, and drive a boat. I hope she had a great time.
Even though camp is over for the summer, it is never too late to donate to the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Foundation to help ensure that Kentucky’s Conservation Camps remain healthy and that the kids can always go outside.
