Good News And Bad News
After shooting my first USPSA match of the season, there’s both good news and bad news. The good news is that there’s massive room for improvement. And the bad news is that there’s massive room for improvement.
Having shot only to qualify at work (on a different gun) and having done no dry practice to prepare for competition, my results were pretty predictable…poor. And that’s totally on me. Although I did start to find my groove by the last couple of stages, the damage had already been done. With nothing but very short stages (designed to conserve scarce ammo), there was really no way to recover from the truly bad stages I shot early in the day.
It’s bad enough that I’m not going to lay my scores out there for the world to see, but if you really need to see them, you can find them here. But for better or worse, the season is off and running, and it shouldn’t be long before I’m back to my normal middle-of-the-pack C Class shooting self!
