You're The Bomb!

A ticking time bomb, that is. You see, this COVID-19 virus is so sneaky, you could be carrying it around and not even know it! That’s right…you could look and feel completely normal, but be carrying a virus which you could easily pass to another person and KILL THEM!

“But I’m asymptomatic!”

You might as well be walking around with an explosive suicide vest on, except with a vest, you’d know it. Short of getting a COVID-19 test (though you can’t get one unless you’re rich or symptomatic), there’s no way to know if YOU are a potential killer. And let’s be honest…even if you tested negative this morning, there’s every possibility that you picked up the virus later anyway. It’s like Schrodinger’s virus…even if you don’t have it, you still might!

I kid a bit, but this is a terribly dangerous attitude. Think about it: this saddles the vast majority of the population (who are asymptomatic) with the guilt and fear that should they go on about their lives, they may kill another person. Talk about unhealthy. It even implies that the healthy, asymptomatic members of our society are actually the most dangerous. People who are visibly sick and people who have tested positive are easy enough to identify. But the rest of us, possibly walking around with a case of the stealth cooties, are the ones who will sneak up and blow you away (you know, with a cough or sneeze).

It’s a minefield out there…and you are one of the mines. Maybe. Or not. Who knows?

For a disease with a 99% survival rate, we are now burdening people with the thought that they could be a killer without even knowing it. That’s a lot to have on your conscience…
