Love Is The Answer
“The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.” G. K. Chesterton
When the question is, “why do you want a gun?”…love is the answer. I keep and bear arms not because I hate, but because I love. I keep and bear arms not because I wish to kill, but because I wish to preserve innocent life. Neither hate, nor a lust for killing, has anything at all to do with it. The fact that others do hate and do wish to kill have absolutely zero bearing on my right to fight for those I love, and I will not surrender the right to do so.
Between my military service, my time as a sworn police officer, and as a private security professional, I have made it my life’s work for nearly 40 years to defend those who could not defend themselves. But here’s the wonderful secret, locked away in our American Constitution…you do not need a uniform or a badge to defend that which you hold dear. You have the right…endowed by your Creator and codified in our Constitution…to keep and bear arms to defend what you love. When the question is “why do you go armed?”…love is the answer.
