When You're Hot, You're Hot
Well, the weather was hot, anyway. My shooting was more lukewarm…you know, maybe a few notches above tepid. I didn’t shoot terrible, but I had two misses and one no-shoot penalty on the day, and I wasn’t especially fast. Makeups on steel were especially time-consuming, and though I hate to keep using this excuse, I do work nights and fatigue does become a factor as the match goes on. “Ol’ Boudleaux he was right it only burns you when it’s hot.”
Still, it was a good match with fun stages, including a couple of new provisional classifiers. Also, replacing my recoil spring seems to have fixed my occasional issues with failure to extract.
